After the decision to build a boathouse + slipway for the tyne class lifeboat the main restrictions were listed:
- scale 1:20, < 110cm length, < 50cm height, < 45cm width
- basic construction of aluminum profiles covered with 3mm plywood (stable and less weight than thick plywood).
- stable connection to slipway needed
- main part of slipway needs to be carried with (underneath) the boathouse
First guesses of size by google earth measurements. Later I found the plan of the boathouse in 1:150, where top-view and side-view differ in some measures. The final shape of the boathouse is close to the plan with some differences related to the ‚carry box‘ construct.
